An unregulated gas retail platform carved out from CenterPoint Energy

Shell Energy North America (“Shell”) partnered with ECP on the deal and will provide gas supply services and collateral support to Symmetry.

In June 2020, ECP acquired CenterPoint Energy’s unregulated gas retail platform, now named Symmetry Energy Solutions servicing approximately 30,000 commercial and industrial customers, utilities and municipalities across 35 states. The company’s ~1,305 million MMBtu of sales in 2019 made it North America’s 12th largest gas marketer.
